Aramaic inscriptions on stone in St. Mary's Church

The Saint Mary’s Church, also known as the Al-Abudiyah Church, is in the center of the village Aboud. For a long time people believed that the church was founded in the Crusader period. However at the end of the 20th century an Aramaic inscription was found in the church, which means that the church was already built before the Crusaders came to Palestine. Another inscription in the Church says that it was rebuilt in 1058 CE.
