Tel Dothan: Where iron age and biblical history meet

The ancient village of Tel Dothan (aslo dotan) has been a site of archeological research and investigation. Unearthed living quarters, consisting of a street, houses, storerooms, ovens, and household objects date from the Iron Age were recently uncovered. It is traditionally mentioned that Joseph and his brothers created a cistern there, known today as “Joseph’s Pit.”
