The vibrant city of Hebron is directly accessible from the “Hebron Road,” leading from Bethlehem. Traveling to Hebron will lead past the Solomon Pools, agricultural fields, and many villages characteristic of traditional Palestine. Hebron is the largest city in the West Bank, with an estimated population of 200,000 people. It is considered a holy city for Biblical heritage. Hebron contains two universities – Hebron University and Palestine Polytechnic University – and is home to the Old City, many religious sites of significance, and a number of traditional shops.
