Mole viper

It is one of the most dangerous types of venomous snakes inhabiting Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.

Its length does not exceed 60 cm and is distinguished by the fact that its head is similar to its tail thus it is very difficult to ifferentiate between themIts colors are dark black. It is one of the most dangerous types of snakes in the world, and it is the only snake that should not be held in hands, because its teeth are outside its mouth. In case of an adult’s bite a person dies after 10 minutes.

It differs from the mole viper in terms of its length and head shape. It inhabits the desert areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and  Jerusalem  Wilderness.
