The Qatrawani Shrine is located on the hill Thahret Hamudeh, north of Birzeit, not far away from Ramallah. The Sanctuary was built in the 16th century on top of the ruins of an ancient Byzantine monastery and was restored by the Palestinian Ministry of Antiquities. It consists of a cave, a well and two domes which might have been watch-towers. From there you can overlook the surroundings.
There is one mistery about the Qatrawani Shrine, no one knows the history and the name of this Shrine for sure. That is why it is discussed by Palestinians and is obscure to many.
